Founder Marvin Priefert started his enterprise in 1964 in Titus County, Texas, and the company’s headquarters remain in Mount Pleasant today. Marvin felt he needed better equipment than he could find for sale and built his first gliding-action, side-closing headgate, which revolutionized livestock handling and ranching alike.
